Based in Skipton, Ilkley and Glusburn, our practice is proud to provide personal and practical services, tailored to the individual needs of our patients and clients.
Our history
When Geoff and Geraldine Hale first opened our doors in 1991, they set out to create a community practice with a warm, family feel.
Along with Pam Braithwaite, they steadily developed and expanded their offering to meet the needs of North Yorkshire’s pet owners.
This commitment to great veterinary care for local pets has never wavered, and in 2000 Anne and Andy McGregor took over the helm and gave our practice a catchy new name: Ashlands!
Our facilities and team
In the years since, we’ve opened new sites and continually updated our facilities to ensure we’re always bringing you and your pet high quality, modern veterinary care.
Our brilliant team is made up of certificate holders in areas such as surgery, medicine, exotics, physiotherapy, dermatology, feline medicine and emergency and critical care, and as part of the VetPartners group we have the support and backing of other respected vet practices across the UK and Europe.
This hard work has not gone unnoticed, and we’re honoured to have been presented with the 2022 Established Business of the Year and 2024 Professional Services of the Year awards by the Ilkley Business Awards.
24/7 emergency support
Alongside our day-to-day services, we run our own 24/7 emergency service from our Ilkley branch, with dedicated team members onsite at all hours to provide monitoring and support to our inpatients.
With comfortable inpatient facilities, modern hospitalisation equipment and compassionate team members, you can trust that your pet will be safe hands should they need to stay with us overnight.
Our community
Our local community means the world to us, which is why we regularly get involved with local events and schools whenever we can and work closely with local RSPCA sites.
We also strive to be as environmentally friendly as possible, by recycling and buying sustainably. All this goes to show how much we care about what we do.
